These were made out of very thin cotton at the H & B clothing factory in Oadby Road, Leicester.
A series of web brands have sold the shirts with different cottons, weights, and prices.

The thin cotton is described as "100% Ring-spun Combed Cotton - Mid-weight fine single jersey fabric – Super soft touch – Reactive dyed – Yarn 30/1 – 140/145gsm", and for a while was available from a wholesale - Continental Clothing - which tried to bring UK-made T shirts back into the mainstream as an ethical option. Now they've retreated to selling their own brands from Turkey and claiming environmental benefits.

Chest measurement is a circumference - double the flat measurement:
46cm or 18" flat = 36" chest circumference (" is shorthand for inches)
48cm or 19" flat = 38" T shirt size
51cm or 20" flat = 40" T shirt size
53cm or 21" flat = 42" T shirt size
56cm or 22" flat = 44" T shirt size
Thermal T shirts are sold for wearing more tightly, as a base layer, so the S / M / L labels are one size smaller than the ones for cotton T shirts .
